Digital multimeters measure power factors

YOKOGAWA has released a pair of digital multimeters to measure a variety of power factors.

The TY720 and TY710 meters feature voltage, current, resistance, low resistance, frequency, duty cycle, temperature, capacitance and decibel measurement functions.

The company says the devices have an accuracy of 0.02% and can withstand a voltage of up to 6.88 kV for five seconds.

The units have a dual five digit, seven segment, 50 000 count LCD screen which is capable of displaying a 51 segment bar graph.

The TY720 can store up to 10 000 readings while the TY710 can store up to 1000. Both come with optional software and a USB communication cable.

The products are distributed in Australia by Trio Smartcal.
