BESTECH Australia is distributing a range of Micro-Epsilon sensors which can be used to monitor strains and cracks during continuous maintenance operations.

The multiNCDT Eddy Current Displacement Sensors can measure widening cracks or strains on frames and will triggers a warning or switch off a system when pre-set levels are breached.

The unit has a range of 0.2mm and is accurate to within 0.01mm and takes non-contact measurements. The sensor does not detect dirt, dust, moisture, oil and other dielectric materials.

The sensor’s limit switch module detects the displacement as a proportional voltage output which is compared with preset levels.
