FLIR Systems has launched the B400 infrared camera, which it says can be used to perform building energy audits and preventative maintenance programs.

The B400 infrared cameras scan equipment and structures and instantly produce thermal images for monitoring or quantitative temperature analysis. They can discover and report construction failures.

According to FLIR Systems, the B400 infrared camera comes with a 320 by 240 pixel infrared detector as well as the company’s Advanced Signal Processing to reduce image noise.

FLIR Systems says the B400 infrared camera can also be used to test air tightness, inspect door and wall seals, detect leaks and humidity and conduct other tests to minimise energy loss. It features both automatic and manual focusing capabilities as well as an eight times continuous digital zoom.
