APPLIED Measurement Australia has released a range of linear inductive position sensors for use in mining and potentially-explosive environments.

The Positek A111 Linear Inductive Position Sensor (LIPS) is designed for industrial and scientific feedback applications and has ANZEx approvals for use potentially explosive gas, vapour and dust atmospheres and mining environments.

The company says the unit provides a linear output proportional to displacement. Each sensor is supplied with a customisable output calibrated between 50 and 600mm.

According to the manufacturer, the device has a stainless steel body with full inbuilt EMC protection and an IP-67 rated sealing.

The sensor can be fitted with mounting options including M8 rod eye bearings and body clamps.
