THERMO Fisher Scientific has developed software for its optical emission spectrometry (OES) metals analyser.

The OXSAS Software is designed for use with the ARL 4460 OES analyser and can be used for quality control operations.

The company says the software optimises the unit’s time resolved spectroscopy (TRS) and current controlled source (CCS) features to offer accurate and rapid inspections.

The program allows users to launch analysis procedures and access previous inspection results with a single click. According to the developer, it features new methods, calibration techniques and rapid analysis routines.

The software also performs method definition from a periodic table, repetitive batch sample analysis and calibration with multiple analyte curve displays.

The solution can integrate with the company’s online Spark-DAT option to generate ‘cleanness’ statements and inclusion determinations.
