WESTEK Electronics has launched the DIN-rail mounting, UMG 511 power quality analyser by Janitza.
The device is capable of providing continuous monitoring and analysis of single- and three-phase, three-, and four-wire networks in accordance with EN 50160. It can also be employed as a form of protective relay, as well as an Ethernet gateway in hierarchical analysis and control networks.
The UMG 511 Power Quality Analyser measures four voltages and four currents, thus providing complete information for four-wire, three-phase systems, including neutral conductor parameters.
The UMG 511 measures transients from 50 µs, flicker, voltage unbalance, event detection, and harmonics from the first to the 63rd harmonic for voltage and current, as well as interharmonics.
Additionally three-phase parameters are analysed in positive, negative, and zero phasor sequence.
The display methods include phasor diagrams in terms of symmetrical components; waveforms for voltage and current; harmonic bar graph display; rms trend values over time; and numerical values.
The UMG 511 Power Quality Analyser is equipped with 256MB Flash memory for events and transients, five digital outputs and eight digital inputs, as well as an embedded webserver interface.
Additionally RS 485 / Fast Ethernet 10/100Base-TX and Profibus DP V0, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, as well as Modbus gateway are provided.
